Today I picked up mom and headed to Teri’s new home for a day shared with sistas!! Shelby, Teri, and I took off and went to get a pedicure. It was so relaxing and a long time coming!
We went back to Teri’s, and Lisa came by with her grandbaby Easton. We enjoyed just watching him play all day. He is 9 months old and is just a ball of sunshine. We had so much fun laughing at everything!
We watched the Gator game, which was a close one against LSU. At least it was not a blowout!! While we watched the game, Rich made us some burgers. I would have liked one of those bubba burgers, but I was a good girl and had a nice big salad!!!
We stayed until evening time, so I asked my sisters to help me make dinner for Tom & I. Nothing wrong with asking for a bit of help right🤪. They chipped right in and helped me roast potatoes & brussel sprouts. And make a big salad along with air frying shrimp. Tom was very impressed with the dinner!!!

I woke up early to watch the Jags 🐆game in London. 🏈What a great game against the dolphins!!!🐬 Good for Urban, Lawrence & the rest of the team for winning their first game as a team. I sure hope our season will be turned around.
My mom, sisters, niece Nicole, her husband Jacob, and baby Easton came by my house to visit. We continued to just eat up baby Easton!! How can you not just eat this baby up!!
Tommy grilled our meats for the week. This is so helpful because all I have to do is work on the sides. So thankful for my wonderful husband Tommy for taking care of me and being a great cook!
Monday 10/18/2021
Today I went on a little over a mile walk. Then Nicole and I went shopping at Costco. Like I need any more food in the house. But I did pick up some healthy things for my whole 30 diet.
I had a doctor’s appointment with Dr. A the radiation doctor. He was not in the office, though, so I met with his PA. Very nice lady. I had not met her before, but apparently, she was the one the told me to go to the emergency room the day I fell. The next day, I was undergoing my second emergency operation on my back. Thank God for good PA’s! The appointment was just a 30 Day follow-up from my last radiation appointment. They want to see me back when I get my scans in two months to see what might be bothering my hip & knee. It could just be a side effect from the medicine I’m taking, but they both are very sore and kind of give away every once in a while.

I went to my friend Cheryl’s house and visited her mother, who has recovered from pneumonia, thank God! She is 84 years old and looks fantastic, and I’m so happy that she made it through her pneumonia with the help of her daughter Cheryl and her son-in-law Ernie no doubt.
Cheryl and I went to Jason’s deli, had a beautiful salad, and went shopping for more fall stuff…like I need anything more orange in my house. But I enjoyed her company and got some steps in.

Today was a crazy day with mamma Sue. I picked her and Nicole up, and we had lunch and went to a store to look for mom a birthday gift and myself a dress for the Chemo Noir gala event coming up. Oh, to shop with two ladies who are not in the best of shape. I felt so bad for Nicole having to take care of us and hold our bags! But we shared a lot of laughs!!

I spent the day at Shelbys condo. It was the first time in 4 months that I had been to her place. She has a set of stairs leading up to her home, sooooooo, I’ve just started walking stairs. I had a great time relaxing while she worked. We did take a break for lunch and a mile walk down AIA in St. Augustine. It was the middle of a HOT day, probably not the best idea! Me and Finn dog kept looking for shade to walk in. But we made it home & got ourselves rehydrated!
For dinner, Tom, Dylan, Shelby, and I went to dinner at Ember and Iron. Very nice restaurant. I loved the atmosphere. I loved the ambiance. The service was very good as well. It was pretty delicious but a bit overpriced. Anytime with my husband & kids is very precious.
Friday 10/22/2021
Shelby came over and worked from home for the day. We went for a mile walk with our dogs, but we went much earlier in the day, so it was not so hot for me and Finn dog.
Tom and I had a dinner date with our friends Kevin and Karen and my sister & brother in law Teri & Rich. I even went out the door, scrapping my brace. 🤭 Soon, I’ll be rid of the brace after all.
We went to Julington Creek Fish Camp. Most of the table ordered shrimp & grits. I had Salmon!!! Karen ordered crab cakes. The food was amazing, as always, and the service was good too. We did have to wait a bit for our dinner, which I think results from businesses having a hard time finding help. We didn’t miss a beat & just chatted away, eating for dinner.

Teri, Bethany, Shelby, and Deeg (Ingrid Shelby’s college buddy) went to my favorite St. Augustine’s farmers market. We arrived right around 9:00 am so we could get all the fresh fruits & veggies before it was all gone. I picked up the best shrimp too!!! It was so much fun shopping together!!!
The farmers market was hot!!! I could not wait to take my back brace off, even though I still have a month before my 12 week post op is done!!
Later that morning, we went to Blue Hen Cafe in St. Augustine. We had to wait an hour before we could be seated. Deeg had found the restaurant, and since she was a visitor, we did not want to disappoint her. So we grabbed some coffees and sat outside on a beautiful Saturday morning, and people watched until our name was called. The time went by so fast because of the ongoing conversation. Breakfast was quick once we were seated. The food tasted awesome, and I’m glad we decided to wait it out.
Saturday night Tom and I went to a surprise birthday party for our friend Angie King. We were out WAY past my bedtime. It was an absolutely gorgeous evening. The weather couldn’t have been better. Billy Bob lit a beautiful fire. It was so relaxing.
I was introduced to Angie’s mother who told me she prayed the Rosary for me last week. I I was introduced to Angie’s mother, who told me she prayed the Rosary for me last week. I was so humbled. What a sweet thing someone could say to me. She encouraged and invited us to attend St. Joseph’s Catholic Church…it has been some time since I’ve actually attended mass. I definitely will consider going back to my church. I know prayer is powerful, and God has this!!!

Wow! So much to digest. I didn’t know you stopped Facebook and when I wished you a Happy Birthday, Tom was kind enough to reply. That had me wondering what’s going on with Paula, so I dug deeper and found your blog. It sounds like you have done a great job of keeping the best possible outlook while enduring a very difficult time. You have great physicians working to rid you of this horrible invader and I have no doubt that they will succeed.
I will keep you in my prayers. We Anglicans don’t pray the rosary, but we pray about 20 times during each service…and throughout the day. You will be in all of my prayers.
I’m praying for your complete recovery.
