Living my best life

Happy Easter, everyone! I hope you all had a blessed beautiful day with your family & friends. I had a great day and weekend with family & friends. Went to church this morning for the first time in a while. We have been watching the service on tv. Pastor Tim said something about that today. The church was jam-packed for Easter, and he challenged everyone to continue to come to the church and not just watch online (oops, yep, I’m one of those 😱). It was good to go live, I must admit.

Saturday, Tom and I went to my friends Kevin and Karen’s house and crashed their family Easter party. It has been a family tradition for more than 30 years. It was so much fun to catch up with all of their family. And the food was yummy. I loved seeing all the babies and young kids dressing up for the day and searching for eggs!

It’s been a while since I wrote in the blog. But I wanted to write and let everyone know I’m feeling awesome. I changed some medications, and it has helped a lot. I’m still trying to eat and drink well and walk just about every day, even if it’s just a mile. Work is going well, and things are pretty much back to normal. It gets a little stressful sometimes, but I’m handling it ok.

Below are a few pictures from the past month.

Tom’s mom Pat came to visit us for St. Patrick’s day. We had a very nice weekend and enjoyed her company and laughs. She’s a trip and doesn’t meet a stranger. I made corned beef Shepards pie for the first time ever. It was so delicious.

My sister Lisa brought over her grandbaby, Easton. I’m his great aunt. I absolutely enjoyed every second of his visit. He brought such joy to our family. We literally just watched him and laughed at all his expressions. And the best part for me was rocking him to sleep.

Teri, Shelby, and I went to Jax Beach on a pretty brisk Saturday and picked out our summer bathing suits. Shelby and I have been going to the same surf shop for many years. They are very attentive and want to help you find exactly what you want. We were in the store for what seemed like hours 😂😂😂. After that, we walked along the boardwalk and had lunch at Salt. Terrible service with the excuse of not having enough staff. 30 minutes to even ask us if we wanted a drink. I wanted to leave, but my family asked me to stay calm. 🙄 I finally went up and said something. Our waitress finally arrived, apologized profusely, and still stunk.

Life is good!
