So I have been feeling good!! Especially with the news we received about the lesions shrinking & no new lesions. I can not tell you how happy this makes me and my family & friends. Tom & I actually met with the PA, Stephanie, and she showed us the 1st PET scan done in June and the 2nd PET scan done in December. I’m no radiologist, and PET scans are foreign to me… but the summary of the scans were very positive! Stephanie said, keep doing what you’re doing. She did say I would stay on this treatment plan for the rest of my life. Or, if the lesions start to appear again, I would get put on another form of treatment. She reiterated people are responding very well to the treatment I’m on. Keep praying to God that He continues to keep me be healthy, physically on earth, and the treatment continues to work for a long time!!!
My back pain is really getting better too. It’s tough during the day when I’m working. But my friend Nicole bought me a back massager & heating pad. It helps a little. I just stand up a few minutes & sit down a few minutes. I also have friends coming to see me and help me with work.
Shelby & I have participated in 2 5k’s over the last two weeks. Obviously, I can not run the 5k’s, so I just walk at the back of the crowd. Who knows, maybe if I keep doing the 5k’s, I’ll pick up my terrible pace. I feel so bad for the cops & organizers who have to wait so long until we are finished.
Bethany joined us for one of the 5k’s. The Festival of Lights 5k in San Marco raised money for the Children’s miracle network. I have always wanted to do this walk, but I had no one to go with me. So happy I had family to go with me this year. I’m hoping to make this a tradition, and maybe we can convince others to go with us.
My family & I went to see Jimmy Buffett. The venue required a negative COVID test or vaccination proof. After all, Jimmy and the Coral Reefers need to be protected. Jimmy is 75 years old and still puts on a great show. I purchased the tickets three years ago, but he canceled one year because of shoulder surgery, and then the following year, he canceled due to COVID. But he showed up this year and was fantastic!!

Paula, I am late to the party here. I recently heard about your diagnosis and that there was a blog. I’m so glad I dug around and finally found this. I am so sorry you have been thru all of this. I will add you to my daily prayer list. Love ya girl!
