Social Media

I have been off social media since January 2021, and I don’t plan to go back on. Today my family reached out to me and asked if they could share my story on social media.  I think this may be therapeutic for them because they are going through their own emotions. I have shared my blog with only a few people, but today it has now reached all my family’s contacts and my old social media. I hope the stories I share can help someone else going through a cancer fight. 

I have read each and every comment in my blog and I wanted to thank you all for your sweet words. It means so much to me. The support of my friends and family helps me stay strong during this difficult time. It makes me happy to hear from everyone. I have to keep positive to beat this f’in cancer. I love you all!!

This morning I was getting ready for my radiation appointment, and my knee buckled. Made me a little scared. Thank God I was able to catch myself by grabbing the bathroom sink. I called my surgeon, and he explained my legs are still recovering from surgery and are not back to full strength just yet. Hummmmm, I thought I was getting along okay, but I guess I was wrong. He suggested I wear a knee brace. I’m going to look Ridiculous now with a back and knee brace 🤣🤣🤣

I received my 6th radiation treatment today. After treatment, I had to go to the store; I also straightened up my house a bit. Needless to say, my back was on fire. I took some Tylenol & took a 2-hour nap. My back was fine when I woke up. Thank goodness!!!  My body told me I was doing too much. 

My mother-in-law Pat treated me to a pedicure. I have not been to the nail salon in 3 months!!!! It felt wonderful to have my toes done. Due to blood clots in my calves, I could not have a deep massage. The lady still gave me a light (non-grinding) massage. My mom, Sue, and daughter ShelbySh went with me. It was an excellent girl’s time. 

After nail time, we went to my son, Dylan, and his wife, Bethany, for dinner. It was delicious. We enjoyed each other’s company and, as always, picked on mamma Pat. I cherish these moments and love my family.
