Radiation day!

What an amazing week I had at home! I want to mention I have some great friends and family. I’m never alone; somebody is always with me. I am so lucky to have wonderful friends in my life that truly care about me and taking care of me. Over the weekend, Tom was able to have some “Tommy Time” and get some things done around outside for the 1st time in months! Shelby & Finn dog came for the weekend, and I visited with my mom & sisters! Teri is in town this week, and Lisa came by and brought her grandbaby and Jackson. I did not take a nap Saturday or Sunday! I was hoping it would help me sleep better. It was a little better but not a full night’s sleep with no wake-up.

Today’s a big day!

I start the 10 days of radiation treatment to zap the lesions on my spine. The focus will be on the lesions around the T-7 area. The appointment is at 11:30am, so it gives me time this morning to be a little nervous and wonder what if’s. But I have to remain positive the radiation will work!!

Update: The radiation appointment went pretty easy peasy. I just laid on a table listening to some country music while the radiation machine circled my body. After the treatment, it felt like I spent too much time in the sun and got a little bit of a sunburn. The feeling isn’t too bad; I’m used to doing that, LOL. The people running the machine to do the radiation were super nice and super sweet. They just wanted to make me feel as comfortable as possible because of my back operation!

Happy to report there was no pain, but there’s a lot to gain!!!!
