Today is an exciting day!!! I break out of rehab!
The physical therapists and occupational therapists have helped me reach my goal — to be self-sufficient in the evening times!
I am now able to get out of the bed by myself and make my way to the bathroom using a walker. Hopefully with a couple more weeks of using the walker and getting stronger at home, I will eventually be able to can the walker.
I will be happy to get home and be able to give myself my medications on time each day. That is definitely a complaint I have about Brooks. The nurses were ALWAYS late on giving out meds. I’m talking 3 hours one particular day. I feel bad for the older people who have no voice or clue what’s going on.
Another thing I will not miss is all the strange smells!!!!
