Things are starting to slow down where I have more of a routine. Doctor appointments have slowed down for sure. Pretty soon, I’ll be going back to work. I’m sure you are tired of hearing about my food dates.
Today was an exciting day for sure!! Nicole and I went and talked to Dr. Julie Buckley. I’ve been reading her book for a few weeks. And now I finally get to chat with her about the hyperbaric chamber and some extra vitamins. The appointment went well, and I received an IV with vitamin C and something else that begins with a G. I’ll have to write it down next time. Also, I was in the chamber for an hour. I have decided to go once a week and pray the extra vitamins and the chamber help me to have a better quality of life. I think Dr. Buckley is a good source during this journey; not only is she an intelligent Doctor, but she is a woman and has been through the breast cancer fight. Everyone is different — this I know — but I have to do all I can to stay healthy & on this earth.

Today is my birthday! Wow, how cool is that! My mother-in-law Pat came up from Sebastian to visit with me. We sat and chatted early afternoon and listened to the thunderstorms that came through the area. Fortunately, there were no tornadoes.
So many thanks to all that reached out to me via texts or phone calls!! Tom said a few on Facebook reached out too! Thank you!! I’m so lucky to have such awesome friends and family!!!
My Spanish exchange student Victoria gave me a call for my birthday. She was in the bathroom bathing her golden retriever because she had been in the mud. Look at how pretty her dog is!!!
Her name is Kiera (not sure if I spelled it correctly)

I went to Brooks Rehab for some PT. Man, oh man, did that hurt. Some of my muscles have not moved in a long time. But I need to strengthen my core to help with my back healing. Now I have to have the discipline to do the exercises at home. They are relatively simple & not too hard to do. I go back for two more visits, and I should clearly understand what exercises I can do that will not bother the fusion in my back.
Later we celebrated my mom’s birthday at Gators dockside. As always, great dinner!!!

This morning my dad came over to take me to breakfast for my birthday. We went to Keke’s, and it was delicious. Always awesome to spend time with my dad. I am looking forward to seeing him again because our visit was so short.
I took my mom to a Doctor’s appointment, and then I had to give blood because it has been two weeks. I hope my blood work is positive and the meds are doing what they are supposed to do. I have one more week of the chemo pill, and then I’ll be done with my second round. I get one week off. Then I start my 3rd round. When the round is over, they will do scans to see what the lesions look like. I’m so looking forward to the scans. Pray, pray, pray, and be positive the lesions are put to sleep & there are no new ones.

Well, today is my mom’s birthday and my son’s 1st year anniversary. My mom turned 75!!! It’s crazy Dylan and Bethany are married an entire year. It just seems like yesterday I was so nervous and excited about the wedding festivities. They are a beautiful couple and complement one another, and I’m so happy for them.
We went over to Shelby’s condo to watch the Florida/Georgia game. As suspected, the Gators lost. It could have been worse. 😡34-7!! Grandma Pat was enjoying North Florida weather.

Shelby planned a birthday party for me! We all went to MOJO’s BBQ in St. Augustine. They do an outstanding job of tending to big parties. It was so lovely to have everyone together for a fabulous dinner. The best part about it was that I did not have to cook or clean up!!! Thank you to everyone that came to share my birthday with me, and I hope to have many more.
I got home, and my back was a bit on fire. But it was worth the pain to see everyone. I iced it, went to bed, and slept through the whole night.

Happy Halloween 🎃 to everyone!!!!
This morning we headed over to Dylan & Bethany’s for a pizza party. Grandma Pat, Kerry, and Kyle had to head back south after spending the night. It was nice to have time to visit us!!! Buckley enjoyed having Aunt Kerry pet him. They are both so photogenic, don’t you think?

Later in the afternoon, Tom and I watched the Jags game. I just wished they could win another game. I really dislike watching them lose weekend after weekend.
During the game…Victoria called me to wish me a happy Halloween. How cute is she and her puppy!!
I have picked up some candy pass out tonight. I think it will be a good exercise for me to sit in the living room, and when I hear the little munchkins, I get up and walk to the front door. I’ll at least get 1/2 mile. I’ll let you know 🤠

Well it was a great weekend lots of fun and laughs your doing well and your positivity is such a healer also, so keep up the good work and do your exercises and your walking routine….Love u, have a great week
Just read the updates, glad things are going well. I know you are getting therapy but are you still getting any kind of treatment for the cancer. It would be great if not. You seem to be doing well. Keep up the therapy.
Mrs. Barto I am still taking Chemo. I take a pill everyday fir 3 weeks called Ibrance. Then I’m off 1 week. I will be on chemo for the rest of my life. If ibrance stops to work then I will take a different chemo.
Hello Paula. Great picture of Victoria and her dog. And, great picture at Gator Dockside. You’re looking good and so is everyone else.
I love it that you had a fun Birthday.
Ava
Paula,
I pray for you every day and rejoicing/believing that you’re healed.
