Thursday 9/30
Shelby dog came over today. We took a walk first thing in the morning before it got too hot. She managed to walk my dog and her dog. After our walk, she worked from home, and I began to read a new book I ordered.

It looked very intimidating at first. To me, it looked like a book the doctor uses for reference. I was actually going to return it, but after reading a few pages, I found it very helpful and interesting. I think I’m going to keep the book and read on. I will also use it as a reference book.
Shelby helped me make meatballs and sauce for Tom and I to have for dinner. I love to cook, but it does take a little motivation sometimes. Later in the afternoon, we took a second walk with the dogs again. I’m trying to get up to two miles a day. I have a ways to go, but every little bit helps.

We lost a few fish from our saltwater fish take. Actually, it’s Tom’s tank. I bought it for him for Christmas last year but … I love it too. Anyway, we got ourselves 3 new fish!!! They bring so much joy to the tank & our family.
This is a Cow Fish. I just ❤️ him! I named him Spider-Man.

This is a blue sported puffer fish. I named him Gator.

Friday
Shelby stayed to work from home again. I basically read my new book in the morning while she worked.
My girlfriend Nicole came over and helped me organize my dresser and my closet. It was out of control, and she wanted to do that for me. We actually have four ginormous bags to give to the vets, and it gives me so much room for new clothes LOL!!! No really, I don’t need anything, but I definitely need to get rid of more stuff! I appreciate all of her help for sure!
Shelby participated in the Pick Up the Pace race in Saint Augustine for breast cancer awareness. She is doing the run and will be thinking about me. I didn’t sign up for the run, but I plan to do some of these in the future. We picked up mama Sue and headed to Saint Augustine to pick up her race packet. Several vendors were at the expo, and I actually ran into my radiation oncologist doctor Dr. A (Mark Augspurger) from MD Anderson. He asked how I was doing, and I told him I was hanging in there, and things seemed to be feeling a lot better in my back, where I received radiation treatment. It’s incredible how personable these doctors are. They truly care about you!
One of the vendors @ the expo was a support group. They meet every Tuesday in St. Augustine at 6:30. I’m very interested in finding a support group of people going through the same thing I’m going through. The link to their website is below, so I’m going to research before attending a meeting.
Cancer Healing | MPoWR St. Augustine | United States
They mentioned a movie called Heal. I found it on YouTube. Going to check it out as well.
After all that excitement, we called up Bethany and had a ladies’ dinner @ Uptown Swinery in St. Augustine and did a little retail therapy at the outlets. There were no boys at our party because Tom & Dylan went to help my sister Teri & her husband Rich move back to Jacksonville!!!!! I can not tell you how excited I am.
Saturday
My Dad came to visit. He got here at 8:30, and we visited until 2:30. My sister Lisa came over too. We had the best time and had so many laughs. I found some old pictures while cleaning out my closet, so we looked through them.
Then we went out to breakfast At the new Grumpy’s restaurant off of 210. The wait was long, but I found the food to be good. On the menu was a strawberry cheesecake waffle. Highly recommend it was out of this world delicious!
I’m starting to sound like a food/restaurant critic. I need to quit going out to eat all the time! Naaaaa why not.

Sunday
Woke up this morning and watched elevate life church live. Elevate Life – Elevate Life Church
Very good message about being down and how to pick up and move!! Yes, we all go through troubles in our lives. But Jesus is with us, and if we listen, we will hear him help us get back up!
It made me think about how lucky I am to have friends who are here for me and love me unconditionally. Thank God for all my friends who have sent cards, emails, letters, texts, messenger messages, and comments on my blog. You all have reached out to help pick me up on this journey. I ❤️ you.
The rest of the day, Tom & I did some chores and enjoyed the day. Because tomorrow my Sister Teri arrives with two dogs and a tank of saltwater fish. We are gonna have fun for a couple of days while she waits on the closing of her house.

That waffle looks amazing!!!!!
I’m happy you enjoy your days!
