7 Out of 10 Weekend Break!

Friday was my last day of the week for radiation treatment. I get two days of recovery.

Since I’m dependent on drivers to get me places, I found a hair salon very close to my house. The salon is called In Vision, and the stylist is Jose Jr. He used to play hockey with my son 15 or so years ago!!! He did a great job highlighting my hair and making me feel like a healthy Paula. He was happy I found him, and we chatted about memories of our travel hockey family. It was a fantastic 2 hours of conversation & hairstyle. It’s amazing how a hair appointment & nail appointment can make you feel.

When Tom got home, I asked him if he wanted to go to Hurricanes. After all, my new do was to pretty not to go out for dinner! I was in the mood for wings. Again a little bit of normalcy. The dinner did not disappoint!

Saturday

Mamma Pat headed home this morning. I’m very thankful for all her help this week, getting me to all my appointments, and taking care of household chores.

Good news, another step to normalcy. I have a hamper with wheels. I was able to push the hamper into the laundry room. Then I used the grabber reacher tool and put the clothes in the washer. It took some time, but I got them all in.

Luckily my son Dylan & daughter in law Bethany came over today. Bethany helped with the rest of the laundry. I appreciate all her help. She is a sweetheart ❤️.

Dylan helped Tom with the yard & Bethany put up all my fall decorations. What a big help!!! Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the decor because my favorite color is Orange. I did help her a little bit, but my back was on fire after a few minutes, so I sat down and let her take charge. I’m supposed to do that and not feel bad. 🤗

I watched a little bit of the Gator game but to tell you the honest truth, I don’t have much interest in watching the Gator games. Hopefully, that will change when they play a good team. I don’t even know the names of any of the players. What has happened to me?🧡💙🐊

We had dinner as a family, and the boys got ready to watch the FSU Game.

Today was a good day!

Sunday

My sister Lisa and nephew Jackson came and picked up me and my mom and helped us at the grocery store. This was my first full grocery shopping trip in over 2 months!! Jackson was a big help for me picking up all the heavy stuff. I so appreciate his help!!

Tom and I watched the 1st half of the Jags game. It was horrible, so I went and took a nap. There is still work to do on the team. I hope Urban can fix it sooner than later. After our nap, we watched the Miami game. That was a good game!!

Nice relaxing day!

Next week I have radiation Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Friday, we meet with Dr. Crozier. I assume I will start the chemo pills. We shall see.
