March 5th<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Spring is here! I\u2019m so happy to feel the warm weather is just around the corner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, I\u2019m doing good! Feeling great! was a good day for me. Shelby, Teri & I went to the St. Augustine farmers market. The market is open every Saturday at the St. Augustine amphitheater. There is an organic vegetable booth there, and the veggies looked so delicious. And I can tell you now they tasted terrific. We love to go there and walk around and look at all the local vendors. If you have never been, you should go! You will love it.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the farmers market, we met up with Mr. Bill and Mrs. Nicole for lunch at a new restaurant called Otters<\/a>. What a cute place. It sits near a marina in St. Augustine. There is a beautiful sitting & eating area outside on the Intracoastal. The food was good, but the company was best! \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then finally, Shelby and I went to St. Augustine State park! Back up a few months — last summer, Dylan bought me a Kayak. I\u2019m always asking to go on the boat, so he bought me an inflatable kayak since I can never convince them to take me out. Shortly after he bought me the kayak, well, I had 2 back surgeries, 10 rounds of radiation, and began taking Ibrance for my breast cancer. I never thought I was going to ever be able to use it. In fact, I told Dylan to send it back to Amazon. After my 12 week check-up from the 2nd back surgery, Dr. Wallaces\u2019s nurse Mike advised me I could go in the kayak in calm waters. Not a good idea to go offshore or in any rough waters. So here we go. Shelby inflated her paddleboard, I inflated — well, actually we — inflated my kayak, carried it to the water, and off the 2 of us went. Paddling out on the Intracoastal. It was so fun! I enjoyed being on the water. However, next time we will just go to the park & not do all the other stuff beforehand.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After all of that business, I met up with my two friends, Amy and Sandy. We had dinner at Nori\u2019s<\/a> off 210. The owner of the restaurant is so lovely. His staff was so sweet. The food was excellent, and I will definitely go back again. We enjoyed each other\u2019s company and had lots of laughs. After dinner, we walked to the Pet store in the same shopping center. All 3 of us have fur babies we totally love and spoil rotten! I bought my fur baby a Mahi Mahi. \ud83d\udc20He loved it. Tore one of the fins off in a matter of seconds. It was a fun visit, although short \ud83d\ude14.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 8th<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nicole and I went to the TPC for military appreciation day. We have been going for years to see the music entertainment and show our appreciation for our military. I represented the Navy because Tom was in the Navy. Nicole represented the Marines because Billy Bob was in the Marines. It is such a fun patriotic event. The speaker this year was a female Vice-Admiral in the Navy. I\u2019m not really sure what that means, but it sounds pretty important and a fantastic accomplishment. Kelsea Ballerini was the singer this year, and it was International Women\u2019s Day.\u00a0Go women, go!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 10th <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tom and I had dinner with our friends Cheryl and Ernie. We went to Vito\u2019s<\/a> and the dinner was so fun. I had eggplant parmigiana. I didn\u2019t think the eggplant was breaded; that\u2019s how amazing it was. But it gave me an idea to try and make eggplant with no breading at home. HaHa. My friend Cheryl lost her oldest daughter a few years ago, so I made her a special blanket (with the help of my family). I didn\u2019t get a picture of the blanket before giving it to her, but she sent me a picture with her and Ernie wrapped up in it.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
