Hello everyone! So thankful for the comments you make in my blog. Also, all the private messages and phone calls checking on me. I\u2019m doing pretty good. Just still have back pain from the surgery. It is really the pain that wraps around my ribs. I can\u2019t wait for the day I wake up, and no pain exists!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I learned how to make another new dish. It\u2019s called Shepard pie. OMG, it\u2019s so good, and a nice way to include veggies in the meal and not even taste them. I found a recipe that\u2019s whole 30 compliant. It is now a weekly meal and Tommy \u2764\ufe0f\u2019s it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 12th, Tom, Shelby, and I participated in the Chasing tails 5k. It was an absolutely beautiful day. I will say I did not come in last place \ud83d\ude1c. Tom and I walked with our dog, Rusty. He was a good boy considering all the dogs around us! Shelby and her dog Finn ran. Finn was still full of energy after the race. Rusty wanted no parts of Finn trying to continue to play. Haha. We are looking forward to our next 5k.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

February 13th, we had dinner at Maggiano\u2019s with our good friends Kevin and Karen. It was fabulous, of course. We caught up on all our kids and their grandkids. They have a 5-year-old grandson Bryson who is racing go-carts with the 8 and under age group. I got the biggest kick out of this little guy racing. He knows car racing terminology and sounds like a real character. Tom and I are going to go see his next race! I forgot to take pictures of us at dinner, so Karen sent me a picture of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom and I sat down to watch the super bowl. Both of us were saying we were gonna go to bed after 1\/2 time. Boy, was that an exciting game! We didn\u2019t have a dog in the fight, but we were sorta going for LA because we wanted (or Tom wanted) Stafford to get a super bowl win. Everyone in my family ranted and raved over the 1\/2 time show. Me ehhh, it was ok. I\u2019m not a big fan of the music. I knew some of the songs because they were popular, but I didn\u2019t know others. But it was definitely entertaining. Tom and I ended up staying up to the bitter end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Valentine\u2019s day was a nice day. Tommy got me a beautiful mini rose bush. I just hope I don\u2019t kill it. We brought home a to-go classic dish from Maggiano\u2019s. So we had a nice romantic dinner. The following day I made homemade Shepard\u2019s pie for Tom. Until next year\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following day Tom & I meet with the breast cancer doctor. She said my blood work numbers were good. I asked her again about the hyperbaric chamber as therapy, and she said absolutely not. She said UF Health, Mayo, and MD Anderson are against hyperbaric chambers because of the risk of spreading cancer. She approved me getting the IV of GLUTATHIONE. It\u2019s a good thing because I have been doing it. So I\u2019m not going to do the chamber at this time. I told her my hair was thinning, and I was tired all the time. So she will order a Pet scan and brain scan, and if the scans are clean, she will lower the dose of Ibrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

February 18th was a hectic day. Woke up at 6:00 am to head to the hospital for a day of scans. I had one at 7:00 and one at 11:40. Shelby went with me, which is a good thing. I had a little breakfast partner and retail therapy shopper to hang out with! We enjoyed our breakfast at First Watch and shopping spree at Kohls! A little retail therapy never hurts anyone. I received a note just before the 11:40 scan that my portal was recently updated. From what we could tell, the PET scan read all is clear. But I wanted to hear that from the doctor, and I will Pray for her to call me soon. If not, I will call and bug them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, Teri, Nicole, Shelby, and I headed to the Applebees. We had appetizers, entrees of deliciousness, and a drink for dessert. It had been years since any of us had been. It was the obvious place to go considering we were going to see Walker Hayes at the Florida Theater. He is the guy that sings the \u201cFancy Like\u201d song and dances all over social media with his kids! It was a great show, and I loved it. He brings his wife and 6 kids on tour with him. Excellent writer, singer, and performer. He\u2019s gonna be big !<\/p>\n\n\n\n
