Wednesday 10\/27\/2021<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Things are starting to slow down where I have more of a routine. Doctor appointments have slowed down for sure. Pretty soon, I\u2019ll be going back to work. I\u2019m sure you are tired of hearing about my food dates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today was an exciting day for sure!! Nicole and I went and talked to Dr. Julie Buckley<\/a>. I\u2019ve been reading her book<\/a> for a few weeks. And now I finally get to chat with her about the hyperbaric chamber and some extra vitamins. The appointment went well, and I received an IV with vitamin C and something else that begins with a G. I\u2019ll have to write it down next time. Also, I was in the chamber for an hour. I have decided to go once a week and pray the extra vitamins and the chamber help me to have a better quality of life. I think Dr. Buckley is a good source during this journey; not only is she an intelligent Doctor, but she is a woman and has been through the breast cancer fight. Everyone is different — this I know — but I have to do all I can to stay healthy & on this earth.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday 10\/28\/2021<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Today is my birthday! Wow, how cool is that! My mother-in-law Pat came up from Sebastian to visit with me. We sat and chatted early afternoon and listened to the thunderstorms that came through the area. Fortunately, there were no tornadoes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So many thanks to all that reached out to me via texts or phone calls!! Tom said a few on Facebook reached out too! Thank you!! I\u2019m so lucky to have such awesome friends and family!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Spanish exchange student Victoria gave me a call for my birthday. She was in the bathroom bathing her golden retriever because she had been in the mud. Look at how pretty her dog is!!! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her name is Kiera (not sure if I spelled it correctly)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I went to Brooks Rehab for some PT. Man, oh man, did that hurt. Some of my muscles have not moved in a long time. But I need to strengthen my core to help with my back healing. Now I have to have the discipline to do the exercises at home. They are relatively simple & not too hard to do. I go back for two more visits, and I should clearly understand what exercises I can do that will not bother the fusion in my back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later we celebrated my mom\u2019s birthday at Gators dockside. As always, great dinner!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday 10\/29\/2021<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This morning my dad came over to take me to breakfast for my birthday. We went to Keke\u2019s, and it was delicious. Always awesome to spend time with my dad. I am looking forward to seeing him again because our visit was so short. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I took my mom to a Doctor\u2019s appointment, and then I had to give blood because it has been two weeks. I hope my blood work is positive and the meds are doing what they are supposed to do. I have one more week of the chemo pill, and then I\u2019ll be done with my second round. I get one week off. Then I start my 3rd round. When the round is over, they will do scans to see what the lesions look like. I\u2019m so looking forward to the scans. Pray, pray, pray, and be positive the lesions are put to sleep & there are no new ones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saturday 10\/30\/2021<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Well, today is my mom\u2019s birthday and my son\u2019s 1st year anniversary. My mom turned 75!!! It\u2019s crazy Dylan and Bethany are married an entire year. It just seems like yesterday I was so nervous and excited about the wedding festivities. They are a beautiful couple and complement one another, and I\u2019m so happy for them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We went over to Shelby\u2019s condo to watch the Florida\/Georgia game. As suspected, the Gators lost. It could have been worse.\u00a0\ud83d\ude2134-7!! Grandma Pat was enjoying North Florida weather.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shelby planned a birthday party for me! We all went to MOJO\u2019s BBQ in St. Augustine<\/a>. They do an outstanding job of tending to big parties. It was so lovely to have everyone together for a fabulous dinner. The best part about it was that I did not have to cook or clean up!!! Thank you to everyone that came to share my birthday with me, and I hope to have many more.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I got home, and my back was a bit on fire. But it was worth the pain to see everyone. I iced it, went to bed, and slept through the whole night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday 10\/30\/2021 <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Happy Halloween \ud83c\udf83 to everyone!!!! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This morning we headed over to Dylan & Bethany\u2019s for a pizza party. Grandma Pat, Kerry, and Kyle had to head back south after spending the night. It was nice to have time to visit us!!! Buckley enjoyed having Aunt Kerry pet him. They are both so photogenic, don\u2019t you think?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later in the afternoon, Tom and I watched the Jags game. I just wished they could win another game. I really dislike watching them lose weekend after weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the game\u2026Victoria called me to wish me a happy Halloween. How cute is she and her puppy!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
